which words or phrases do you most overuse?
the state bird in texas is the mockingbird. the mockingbird has no unique song of its own, but instead, takes snippets and pieces of other animals’ songs and weave them into their own, beautifully unique movement.
i’m sort of a mockingbird. i feel like my communication is a conglomeration of everything i hear, mix-mashed into my own unique brand of expression to the world. whatever is around me is what gets thrown into the processor, spun around, diced, mangled, then reassembled and issued forth.
i’ll keep a list today of the words/phrases i spit out & we’ll see what comes of it. (another post tonight with the results)
