the weather has been so nice that we left all the windows open last night. i’m sitting here, getting ready to start my day to the sound of the vertical blinds billowing around in front of the sliding glass door. we want to replace that door one day with french doors – if we stay in this house – which is also a decision which is up in the air…

puddy is on the back of the couch, savoring the time out in the living room with me. the dogs are still in their rooms. plug is prowling around, alternating between rubbing against my leg and wandering off to do whatever it is she does.

i’m wearing an old green t-shirt from the central texas blood & tissue bank. i got it my senior year in high school (13 years ago) for attempting to donate blood. i say attempting because i went into shock and freaked out the entire donation team and all the students & teachers present. they stopped short of calling in the paramedics because there was a couple of nurses present who got me stabilized. as i was coming out of it, drinking the apple juice and eating the cookies they were almost force feeding me, i asked if i was still going to get a t-shirt for donating. i did. sadly, it has a hole under the right arm, so i can no longer wear it in public.

i have a dental appointment at 10am. sweetie’s cell phone is going off – most likely a coworker who said they’d call her early. yes, 7:50am is technically early. a little too early. that woke cleo and isis right up. now the whining and barking will start. and yes, now the frogs have begun. (our alarm clock is the sound of frogs croaking/chirping). i doubt she’ll hit the snooze button again, but you just never know! the coworker must have left a message – the phone just chirped. and, as if on cue, plug comes meandering back in.

time to start the day.
