Followup…
Why yes, yes I did survive the dentist today. And despite how frivolous it sounded at first – getting old fillings taken out and replaced with new ones – the cavity that had formed under one of those fillings made it completely worth it!!
Of course, it also made it a bit more painful… but not unbearable. Of course, now I can’t eat solid food, but that too will pass in time.
Right now, as I write this, I’m between classes. My crazy tuxedo kitty, Plug, is standing on my stomach, trying desperately to lick my Burt’s Bees lip balm off. She’s insane. I offered her the tube but she made a horrible face at it… it seems it is only appealing if it is on my actual lips… *insane cat*
I had one of those warm fuzzy moments of ultimate gratitude and peacefulness today. I like those moments. (Note: the moment did NOT happen in the dentist’s chair…)
